About Moon Tales Films
Martin Lohse is a Danish/Brazilian filmmaker and wildlife conservationist.
After a childhood of creating stop-motion clay animation he spent a decade in the academic world in everything from maths through med school to literature. Simultaneously he founded a successful tech company which he grew to 100 employees - without external funding - picking up several awards (including Best Workplace in Denmark) along the way. This required a massive effort in crafting a vision and galvanising everyone on board to execute on the vision despite being underfunded and against all odds. Very much the same challenges that a film director faces.
After selling his invention, Martin returned to the arts. He studied filmmaking in Madrid and toured Europe with the Danish rock band Swampy. Travelling the world opened his eyes to the cultural richness of our planet as well as gifting him 8 languages, a prerequisite to truly understanding a culture. He now splits his time between filmmaking and recently wildlife conservation as a board member of the British nonprofit organisation, National Park Rescue, supported by Sirs Michael Cain, Michael Palin and more.
With a background in animation, cinematography and music, Martin is a visual storyteller who infuses music into the visual language. He builds worlds of magical realism.
Associate Producer on Remember Me (IMDB) starring Academy Award nominee Bruce Dern and Emmy Award winner Brian Cox
